Tumbling Turtles
Age: 3.5 – 4.5 years +
Duration: 45 Minutes
Tumbling Turtles is a fun and engaging gymnastics class designed specifically for preschoolers aged 3.5 to 4.5 years. This 45-minute session introduces young gymnasts to the fundamentals of movement, balance, and coordination in a safe and supportive environment.
Through playful activities, obstacle courses, and age-appropriate gymnastics skills, children will develop strength, flexibility, and body awareness while building confidence and independence. Our experienced coaches guide little ones through basic tumbling, rolls, jumps, and introductory apparatus work, helping them develop essential motor skills in a fun and structured way.
Please Note: We highly recommend our Me & My Shadow class as a foundation before starting Tumbling Turtles. This helps children transition smoothly into independent participation.
Parents do not join this class – all students must be able to enter and participate on their own.
This class is perfect for energetic toddlers ready to explore movement and gain foundational gymnastics skills in an exciting and encouraging setting!
Our Tumbling Turtles class is for gymnasts and coaches only — parents may watch from the upstairs viewing area. (Yes, they finally get to go in on their own!)
Students from Me & My Shadow do not always move directly into Tumbling Turtles at 3.5; coaches must confirm readiness before advancing.
For children who have not taken Me & My Shadow, we recommend scheduling their very first Tumbling Turtles class on a weekday, as Saturdays are quite busy and can feel overwhelming for new, independent gymnasts.
**Parent Observation**
Parents are welcome to observe classes from the upstairs viewing area. However, we kindly remind you that coaching, calling out, or giving instructions from the viewing area is not permitted. This is not only dangerous but also distracting — it takes away from the athlete’s focus and the coach’s ability to provide proper instruction. For the safety and progress of all athletes, it is essential that their full attention remains on our coaching staff.
We also ask that parents and helpers arriving early for class do not allow children to run, tumble, or play in the upstairs viewing area. This space is for quiet observation only, so that everyone can watch their children in class comfortably and without distraction.
