Motions Unlimited
– Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
Q: Where are you located?
A: Motions Unlimited is located at 150 Sparky Drive, behind CUC in the Industrial Park area. We’re a fully equipped gymnastics facility offering classes for all levels and ages.
Q: What age can children start gymnastics at Motions?
A: Children can start as young as 18 months in our Me & My Shadow program, continuing through to advanced competitive team levels for teens.
Q: Do you offer trial classes?
A: Yes! We offer two trial classes at $35 per class for new students. If you choose to enroll for the term, the $70 trial fee will be applied to your final balance.
Q: Is the facility cleaned regularly?
A: Absolutely. Our gym is fully cleaned and sanitized daily to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all gymnasts, coaches, and families.
Q: How should I contact you if I have questions?
A: All communications should be made via email. Please contact us at reception@motionsunlimited.com for assistance.
Q: How do I register my child for classes?
A: Registration is done online through our website where there is a link to our Parent Portal. New families can create a Parent Portal through Jackrabbit. Existing students are automatically enrolled in future terms if they are currently in classes.
Q: Can we join a class mid-session?
A: Yes! If space is available, your child can join at any time during the term. Tuition will be prorated accordingly.
Q: What should my child wear to class?
A: Girls should wear a leotard or a fitted t-shirt and shorts/leggings. Boys should wear a fitted t-shirt and shorts. Hair must be tied back. No shoes or socks are allowed in the gym.
Q: What if we miss a class?
A: We offer make-up classes when space allows. Please email us in advance to arrange a makeup.
Q: When does my child move up to the next level?
A: Coaches continually assess each gymnast’s progress. When your child is physically and technically ready, you will be notified about moving to the next level. Progression is based on skill mastery, strength, focus, and readiness—not age.
Q: Can I stay and watch my child during class?
A: Yes! We have a designated parent viewing area. However, we strongly discourage coaching or communicating with your child during class. Full attention to the coach is essential for learning and safety.
Q: What safety measures do you have in place?
A: Our coaches structure every class with proper warm-ups, skill progressions, and spotting techniques. The facility is fully padded and maintained regularly to ensure a safe training environment.
Q: What are the qualifications of your coaches?
A: All of our coaches are CPR and First Aid certified and have completed Darkness to Light child protection training. Their knowledge and expertise come from years of coaching experience at both recreational and competitive levels. In addition, every coach at Motions Unlimited is a former competitive athlete, bringing real-world gymnastics insight to each class.
Q: How can my child join the competitive team?
A: Team placement is by invitation or evaluation. If your child is interested, please email us to schedule an assessment with one of our coaches.
Q: Do you host birthday parties or special events?
A: Yes! We host birthday parties on Saturdays from 3:30–5:30 PM. These slots fill up quickly, so book well in advance. We also run seasonal events like Super Saturdays—a fun parent-night-out program offered throughout the year.
Q: What are your tuition and payment policies?
A: All tuition is paid in advance by term. Payments must be made online via our Butterfield bank account.
We do not accept checks or cash payments at the front desk. Please see our online payment section for details.
Q: How do I know you have received my payment?
A: Please be sure to include your child’s name in the Beneficiary Reference when making your online payment. We highly encourage you to log in to your Parent Portal regularly to check if any payments are past due and to confirm that all your payments have been posted to your account. To view this, simply click the Transaction button in your account for a detailed record of all payments made and posted.
Please note: We do not send invoices. All payment tracking and account management is done through the Jackrabbit Parent Portal. Please visit the Payment section of our website for full banking details and instructions.
Q: Do you offer discounts for multiple children or classes?
A: Yes, we offer sibling and multi-class discounts. Details are available during registration.
At Motions Unlimited, all tuition and fees must be paid online via bank transfer. We do not accept cheques or cash payments at the front desk.
We offer the flexibility to split term payments into two parts; however, please note that a 10% surcharge will be added to your total if you choose this option. This surcharge helps cover additional administrative processing and ensures we can continue offering flexible payment solutions.
We encourage families to pay in full at the start of the term to avoid the surcharge.
